BYD’s fifth car carrier “Xi’an” was officially delivered, accelerating its internationalization process
As the sister ship of BYD SHENZHEN, BYD XI’AN continues the former’s excellent design and top configuration. With a total length of 219.9 meters, a beam of 37.7 meters, a service speed of 19 knots, a total of 16 decks, and 9,200 standard loading spaces, it is one of the world’s largest LNG dual-fuel car carriers currently in operation. In terms of power technology, BYD XI’AN also uses the latest LNG dual-fuel clean power technology, which effectively improves the energy conservation and emission reduction efficiency of the ship.
BYD has successfully delivered and operated four car carriers. After these ships were put into use, they improved the delivery efficiency in overseas markets, reduced logistics costs and transportation cycles, and established a good reputation for the brand overseas. The addition of new ships will further expand the scale of BYD's seagoing fleet and accelerate BYD's global automotive layout.
In 2024, BYD will continue to be the global sales champion in the new energy vehicle market with sales of 4.27 million vehicles. From a pioneer in the domestic new energy vehicle industry to a popular brand in overseas markets, BYD has relied on its deep technical background, accurate insight into market demand, and global strategic layout to deliver China's innovative power to every corner of the world.
BYD has built a dedicated fleet based on a precise layout based on its in-depth analysis of its own strategic development needs and industry trends. Under the guidance of the country's "Belt and Road" initiative and the strategy of building a strong maritime nation, BYD has bravely taken on the mission of building an independent and controllable international logistics channel, and building a "sea bridge" for the deep integration of China's new energy vehicle industry and the global market. Through the practical path of "national ships, national manufacturing, national vehicles, and national transportation", it has not only laid a solid transportation foundation for its own global layout, but also explored an innovative model for the Chinese automobile industry to "set sail to the sea", demonstrating the responsibility and strategic foresight of national enterprises in the wave of industrial upgrading.
